As of March 2017, the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) has accredited 221 didactic programs in dietetics and 61 coordinated programs in dietetics, and all of these programs are moving to a graduate degree given recommendations put forth by ACEND in 2012.
